My wife has Vascular Dementia and requires help with all functions of daily living. She is non-ambulatory so must be moved with a Hoyer Lift. Laundry is done on site and all meals are prepared in their kitchen. This facility limits itself to 8 residents in their beautiful private home which allows for excellent personal care for all residents. My wife is especially fond of the big screen television in their family room which offers assist to stand recliners. Each patient room is either private or rooms are available for married couples. Personal furniture can be brought in to make the rooms feel more like home. My wife seems content and happy with her care and our family visits daily which allows us to be on a first name basis with the staff. If you are looking for excellent care for your loved one which is far superior to large impersonal nursing homes, this is the place!

This place is in a home with only 7-8 residents! There is round the clock nursing care. My Dad was in a room set up solely for hospice. I can’t say more about the care my Dad had for his last couple weeks. He was made very comfortable immediately. Becky, the owner, has years of experience, including hospice care. Becky and her staff were not only patient with my Dad, they spent as much time needed to talk with the family. Then, my Dad’s wife got very sick from chemo and Becky went above and beyond to get her transferred to Blackberry Pines RAL in a day’s time. She was able to be with her husband his final hours. My Dad passed peacefully in his sleep. Becky was sent to me by God’s Grace! Everything fell into place because of Becky and her staff. I would recommend Blackberry Pines RAL in a heart beat!

They are dedicated to creating a space where seniors can get the care and respect they deserve and that is exactly what we have seen happen for our parents. The staff is kind, compassionate and patient. Becky, who is a nurse, is amazing! She is available 24 hours a day as needed and also leads the care team. She has trained the caregivers to be observant, proactive and respectful. We are amazed at the level of personalized attention our parents receive. The care at Blackberry Pines far surpasses anything we received at the Landings where they previously resided. Mom and Dad are treated like family at Blackberry Pines. Since we can’t be there with them 24 hours a day, it is such a relief to know that they are being taken care of so well! The facility is a small community with about 8 residents. So, mom and dad are able to get individualized attention. Becky makes sure their medications are managed appropriately and even monitors their eating and sleeping habits too. She has great communication and makes suggestions as needed of ways to help our parents. She lets us know when they might need equipment or even a doctor’s appointment. Mom and dad are treated like they matter and never a burden! We as the family also never feel like a burden. We feel so supported too! The facility itself is bright, welcoming, and impeccably clean. The outdoor space is breathtaking with a beautiful patio and gazebo. Their bedroom is spacious with a private bathroom. There is also a community family room where each resident has his or her own recliner. It is a great space for residents to hang out and talk and watch TV together. The food is awesome too. Becky works hard to offer meals that are healthy and to provide choices that the residents will enjoy. We love that everyone eats together at one table and that the facility focuses on making mealtimes a time for the residents to bond. What really sets this place apart is the attention they give to each resident’s individualized needs. Becky spent hours getting to know mom and dad before they moved in. She made sure she knew not only their medical needs but also their likes and dislikes and who they are as people. She had her staff learn about mom and dad too. This made all the difference in helping the facility connect with our parents and to instantly make them feel safe and at home at Blackberry Pines. We love how the staff at Blackberry Pines provides care for our parents’ physical and emotional well-being while focusing on treating them with integrity and respect! It is the safe and nurturing environment we had been searching for our mom and dad to thrive in! Blackberry Pines has been a wonderful place for our parents.
